I found Ms. Mulcahy's book on risk management to be very informative and above all practical. This is not credenza material designed to take up space, look pretty and collect dust. It is a tool to be used as a reference, and source of ideas throughout the life of a project. I use it and have recommended it highly to my fellow project managers. Both beginners and seasoned professionals will find useful information they can apply to make their projects more successful, along with increasing their personal knowledge of the importance and application of risk management.

I have recently changed work venues from biopharmaceuticals to construction/engineering, and this book has proved invaluable to help me get my arms around the risk issues for my new workplace. I definitely recommend it for anyone studying risk, particularly as a supplement to the information available to those preparing for the PMP exam. It's easy to read, and will make a great addition to anyone's project management reference library!

Risk Management is an excellent book that is well organized and easily adaptable to those who are teaching project management courses and desire to explain risk management concepts. It is a well organized book that has plenty of real world examples that make academic theories come to life.

As a certified PMP I can attest to the rigor and comprehenive approach that the author has captured. I have used the concepts to boost my current projects.

I wish I could have gotten my hands on the text before taking the PMI Certification test; it would have eased and focused my study efforts. Buy this book --- it's a keeper !

As with any other Rita book, this is also no expection. The best part is you can use the book practically. It is not just theory part, and figure out how to implement. And since it is aligned with PMBOK, there is no better book on risk management that I could have asked for.
