Awesome Text! May 11, 2003 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book is user-friendly, and students really like it. The only thing they don't like is the price, but, every intro text like this is over $100 these days. I really love this text for teaching my introductory classes.
Should be required reading for Undergrad Business July 18, 2006 T. Dixon (CA) Definitely worth reading, even if not required for a class. A very accessible introduction to the field of Risk Management along with useful, practical information about the kinds of insurance contracts that will be encountered by consumers and businesses alike.
This, and introductory business law should be taught to all undergraduate b-school students. A great book, much better and more useful than a certain black-and-yellow book about insurance that you might be tempted to order.

Introduction to Risk Management and Insurance January 9, 2007 Melvin Rosario-Crespo (San Juan, PR United States) Excellent reference book and very descriptive definitions of insurance concepts
Really Comprehensive Book on Insurance November 4, 2009 Computer User (California) After reading the basic "insurance of dummies", I wanted something with greater depth and detail. This book achieves this purpose, yet it is very easy to read.
The layout is excellent with thoughtful advice. As a consumer it has enhanced and my respect for the business of insurance and immunized me against the usual
media diatribes against insurance companies and the insurance consumer.
